The yearly Colorado Motor Sports Hall of Fame classes will have inductees selected by a voting panel consisting of motorsports media, current Colorado Motor Sports Hall of Fame members and Colorado Motor Sports Hall of Fame Board Members. The main criteria for nomination and induction: motor sports accomplishments by Colorado-based driver or individual who must have spent a significant portion of his/her career in Colorado. Drivers will be considered for the HOF once they have retired. Nominations are carried over from one year to the next. The Colorado Motor Sports Hall of Fame Induction Committee also has the option to annually make two additional awards:
AWARD TYPES: If your nomination is for an individual for consideration into the Colorado Motor Sports Hall of Fame, please include detailed information on the individual’s career. Include such information as length of career, number of races won, number of track championships, regional championships and/or national championships. Also include additional honors/awards the individual has achieved, such as track records, speed records, course records, etc. If your nomination is for an organization for consideration of receiving the JC Agajanian Award, please include detailed information on the significant impact this organization has had on motorsports in Colorado. Detail the length of time this organization has been active and its accomplishments. If your nomination is for an individual for consideration of receiving the Jerry Van Dyke Award, please include detailed information on the significant impact this individual has had on motorsports in Colorado. Detail the length of time this individual has been involved in motorsports and his/her accomplishments in the sport. |
